Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour

*This course is for current staff that are renewing their certification, NOT for a new staff member*

Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour is a program that addresses the safety needs of not only the service provider but also the people that it services. It introduces the staff member to the concepts of self-protection, disengaging skills and the principles of the use of parallel intervention in a continuum. The program is structured, to incorporate both a theoretical as well as an experiential process for the participants within the limits of legislation, mandated service and philosophy. A staff member will need to receive this training within 30 days of hiring and recertified every year.
